Solomon

Meet Solomon! This sweet man is a reserved, quiet, and dignified gentleman who loves pets but needs his space and to have his boundaries respected. He likes a gentle touch. He loves napping in soft beds. At times he will also enjoy playing with toys. Before coming into foster care, Solomon was discovered outside sick, underweight and clinging to life. A kind person let him come into her garage out of the elements and contacted us for help. He was found be severely dehydrated and malnourished with an infection. He required hospitalization for severely days to be treated with IV fluids and antibiotics to recover from his life threatening illness. He was found to be FIV positive which is a virus that puts him more at risk for infections, but he can still live a long healthy life indoors. His foster mom can give you more information about this condition. He had a previous home and his owner had him microchipped and declawed. We were able to locate his previous owner, but she had moved and left him behind. She was not interested in getting him back. He is not equipped to be an outdoor kitty at all. He needs to be indoors only. He is big boy and a gentle giant. Solomon is now very healthy and well other than his FIV status. Solomon is around 8 years old and looking for a relaxed quiet home with a special person who will help him enjoy his senior years. He gets along with other calm kitties, but due to his reserved nature would probably not be a good match for a home with young kids or rowdy pets. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee can possibly be waived for the perfect home.
