Howdy! My name is Opie! I am a schnauzer-mix guy born around 2-1-23, and I weigh about 22 pounds. I am potty trained and good at using the doggy door. I also go into my crate by myself.

I must admit, I am in my hyper young dog phase and am also pretty insecure. I am fearful of larger dogs, and I do chase/bark at cats. I will happily play with dogs my size or smaller, but I can be too much for older dogs. I would do best with other high-energy smaller dogs, OR I would be great as an only dog. I am good with people.

I love toys as you can see. I even fall asleep with them in my mouth! I also like to “sploot” as my foster mom calls it, where I lie down with my back legs spread apart.

I have had some issues with itching and allergies, but am much better with routine medication.

I truly am a good boy even with my quirks, and am looking for the perfect fit!
